Justice for Ogaden Meet Officials of the UK Embassy in Norway

Oslo, June 5, 2012 – Members of the NGO Justice for Ogaden (JFO) have today met with officials of the UK Embassy inOslo,Norwayto discuss the ongoing human-rights violations against the civilian population in Ogaden.

This meeting follows another one which took place two months ago between the Justice of Ogaden and the UK Embassy staff.  In both meetings, Justice for Ogaden officials handed the Embassy staff documents showing the extent of the human rights violations against the civilian population in Ogaden and discussed proper channels to take action against the perpetrators of these heinous crimes against humanity.

At the end of the meeting both parties agreed to exchange information and hold regular meetings.

The Justice for Ogaden has made a commitment to bring the attention of the international community to the terrible plight of the Ogaden people who are massacred by the Ethiopian regime in the vain hope of forcing them to surrender and accept humiliation and colonialism.

JFO was established on September 24, 2011 after the founders discovered that sufficient and reliable information about the real situation on the ground in Ogaden was not reaching the international community. This is because the Ethiopian regime has cut off the region from the outside world and expelled all international NGOs and media.

Justice for Ogaden appeals to the donor countries that fund the Ethiopian government to pressure the regime to stop trampling on the fundamental human rights of the Ogaden people and to hold them accountable for their actions.
